Handmade With Love
We take absolute pride in creating every single one of our artworks by hand at our little home studio, in the lap of nature, here in Ahmedabad. Absolutely no use of readymade vectors from the internet here! We also have a group of trusted vendors, printers and suppliers that we work with for impeccable results.
Paper Vs Digital
In keeping up with the previous sentiment, we do offer digital pieces required in today’s world (eg: digital save the dates & digital invites for international guests) but we require the bulk of the project to be print-based. Our illustrations are highly bespoke and crafted with the utmost love, so they deserve to be printed to embody them in all their glory. We feel that the intricacy and the essence of our work reflects best this way and not in digital. So we respectfully do not take up ‘only digital’ projects.
Originality
Originality is of utmost importance to us. Listening to your story and designing something that exemplifies you in a beautiful manner is what we excel at and love accomplishing. We create a story that's truly you!
Time
Good things take time. Good design takes even more time. With experience in the field of design, illustration & publication, over the years we have come to this learning firmly, that we DO NOT take up last minute projects. We feel that the experience we provide should actually be cherished by our clients & for that time is crucial. This process should be enjoyed, and not become another hassle for the couple to be worried about.

Vaasavi Kaushik, our Founder & Chief Creative, uses an amalgamation of her hand painted watercolours, original bespoke illustrations, calligraphy, lettering and graphic design to craft designs that are personalised & timeless, like heirlooms that you'll cherish for years to come.

As a kid she was obsessed about flowers and loved drawing them. The love of flora and foliage of course, came from observing her mom's passion for gardening and cultivating the most gorgeous blooms in their home gardens, over the years. Belonging to Dehradun, the town of grey hair and green hedges, her parents' job took her all across the country, finally bringing her to Ahmedabad, which ended up becoming home in the truest, all-encompassing sense of the word. Later this love for illustration translated int0 attaining her Bachelors of Fashion Communication from NIFT Gandhinagar, where she was the Gold Medallist for the batch of 2013-2017. With formal work experience in New Delhi in the field of publication design (where she fell in love with typography) and packaging design for some leading firms in India, the yearning of a slower peaceful life surrounded by floral beauty and meaningful projects remained. That's what led to Vaasavi returning to Ahmedabad and building Kaagaz Kollectiv. Grounded in the love of paper ('Kaagaz' is the Hindi word for paper), its tactile feel and luxury printing techniques, the charm of her work lies in the fact that she loves being involved in every step of the creative process: from the design to the assembly. Surrounded by gorgeous flowers and chirping birds, her little home studio is where she creates exquisite watercolour illustrations, deftly weaving them in with a love of letterform, flourish & embellishments to craft the most stunning designs that truly elevate your event/brand.
